Hi Richard. Since you completed your proposal more than two years ago, and since you have a stable job and have re-established credit (with a new credit card), you are in a good position to apply for a mortgage. Whether or not you will qualify, and whether or not you will get a good interest rate, will depend on a number of factors, including:
– your income
– the amount you want to borrow, and
– the amount of your down payment

Assuming those numbers are reasonable, you should be in good shape. Your trustee probably has some contacts with mortgage agents in your area, so it may also be a good idea to ask your trustee for a referral to increase your chances of getting a mortgage at a reasonable rate. Good luck!

I applied and received a Canadian Tire Master Card in January 2015. I make my payments before the due date on any balance I may have on the master card. I wanted to know if I would have any issues applying for a mortgage this summer. I am employed fulltime and have been with the same company for the past 25 years.
